Cox stations in the Miami area had a small fire. Note that automation
kept most of them on the air.
=============================================================
from South Florida Sun Sentinel:

A radio station in Hollywood was knocked off the air for about 15
minutes Wednesday morning after a car in its parking garage burst into
flames.

The three-story building at 2741 N. 29th Ave., Hollywood, that houses
Hot 105 FM and three other radio stations was permeated with smoke from
the 6:40 a.m. fire in the first-floor garage, officials said.

"It was unbelievable, the amount of smoke in the garage. You couldn't
see three feet ahead of you," said Alex Chisholm, 33, the radio show
host whose 2000 Ford Expedition caught fire.

Interestingly, he said, he had just received a notice that the vehicle
was being recalled for a possible electrical problem.

Hot 105 FM was knocked off the air for about 15 minutes while the two
dozen people in the building were evacuated and firefighters put out the
blaze, Chisholm said. The other three stations -- 99 Jams, 97.3 Coast
and 93 Rock -- were on automatic play and were knocked off only
momentarily, Chisholm said.
