[BC] Rules... WHAT rules? HA! HA!

If my company is doing something outside the rules, and it's within
my duties to inspect as Chief Operator, It gets written up in the weekly
report to the management until it's resolved. They support me. I've quit
stations that didn't. Any station that continues to think they are above
the rules is not a good place to be working.
As far as other stations are concerned if I notice something, I will
pass a friendly word to the CE (Who may not be aware of the problem). I will
also pass the word to my GM if they don't get it straight, but I won't
bother the FCC unless the other station is actually interfering with
something for which I have responsibility. Usually my GM gets through to
their GM/Owner and gets results quicker.
If it's an EAS issue, I'm co-chair of the local committee and will
go to the management of the stations involved if they are not doing it
right. Usually that starts with a friendly, "how can I help" followed by a
more serious, "you need to get this straightened out", but then I would just
pass the word up stairs to the state EAS chair. Fortunately this hasn't
been necessary.
