I think even in the heyday of AM stereo many went beyond the 15 to 20 db
cited. I can think of a number of stations that were around 30 db
separation except possibly at the extreme ends of the spectrum. I can
think of a few that did nearly 40 db midband and mid to high 30s
everywhere else. How many early FM systems did that.
