[BC] Backup TX for DAX1

Its a friend's station in town here, and yes, he has a working MW1 (was his main) as backup now, plus an ancient ITA 1000 with toobes that I have been trying to talk him into hauling to the dump. He also has a cherry RCA BTA250L which they bought in 1948, in the lobby, a museum piece. 

Another way to backup a 'non repairable design' as you call it, is to order a spares set of boards - as you suggest. I would certainly look at that option if it were my site, for a DAX, a BE, a Nautel, even an Armstrong. We all know how fun it is to try and solder parts onto zorched printed circuit boards after a disaster hits them.
