[BC] FCC PUBLIC HEARINGS

Frank,
The one held here in Nashville was a pure joke. There was hardly no
discussion about community affairs and broadcasting. It was nothing but
country artist (George Jones) and a bunch of "no name" song writers
stirring up trouble, griping about station's formats. They still have
WSM, what else do they want?
I think the FCC Commissioners came to Nashville to take a hit from the
country music industry, which is dying. Music Row is almost dead!

Subject: [BC] FCC PUBLIC HEARINGS

Barry,

Please post the following to the list:

As many of you are aware the FCC is hosting a public forum in Harrisburg
on
consolidation and other issues facing our industry on Friday, Feb 23rd.
This will be the third such hearing.

Although we are located in Pittsburgh, not Harrisburg, two of the FCC
Commissioners are eager to let the public know their views.

Prior to the hearing, you can listen to a live interview with FCC
Commissioner Michael Copps at 8:30am eastern at www.kqv.com.

We'll be interviewing (and streaming) Commission Jonathan Adelstein at
3:30pm for a post-mortem on the hearing.

It should be interesting.
Frank Gottlieb
