[BC] Why an older transmitter may be a good choice

I was driving south of Tulsa and came by an FM tower about 200' tall that had on it an old Andrew V Horizontal antenna 4 bay!  I about wrecked my rental car.

I wonder if that is still in use all the time or is a backup or what.  Of course I then immediately got a neverending cell phone call from a client and forgot to get the particulars of exactly where I was but the tower was right on the east side of the road along rt 75 probably an hour south of tulsa.
