I don't know for sure, but they are saying it is capable of two 64 kbs AAC+  
streams, but I believe it can be configured for one stream at higher rates. It 
 is all software. 64 kbs AAC+ sounds pretty good. 
 
Target price for these radios is about $150, with cheaper and more  expensive 
versions coming.
