  I have known hams that ran 1 kW am (back in the olden days)
through a long piece of RG-58/U with out any trouble for years
until something fell against the antenna, the coax popped up
every so many dozen feet swelling up and totally melting.
  Coax's power handling is frequency sensitive, what does
the chart say for 1 5/8"?  Air dielectric should handle more
power than foam.  (others may be using air dielectric)
