< In another life far far away I serviced a UHF Micor community repeater in
an outdoor cabinet side mounted on a tower in a cattle feed lot. >
I had a TV translator on the cable TV tower in a dairy farm pasture in
Okeechobee, FL. During the "wet season" the dirt became 2 1/2 to 3 foot
deep
"muck." I had to wire a trash compactor bags on each leg (with solid
electrical wire) and carry the counter then the Tektronix 7L13 in a 7366
(or some such) mainframe on my shoulder as I waded across from the drivable
farm yard 75 feet away. In the dryer months a drive path was barely
passable,
but I didn't get off of the ruts or I would be stuck for a while.
(the watery "muck" would tear any thinner bags (such as garbage) and my
shoe/s off of my feet)
