Larry,

All of my numbers are Do Not Call as well.  I only get 
about 1 telemarketing call a month outside of election 
season.  Until 3 weeks ago.  Over 2 days I got 5.  I 
finally raised hell at the caller, got a supervisor, got 
names, addresses, companies (Dial America Marketing) etc.

I have filed a complaint with the TN Regulatory Authority 
but haven't received a single telemarketing call in 3 
weeks.

I figure all of the recent calls were from Dial America 
Clients and by getting their attention it stopped.

I hate telemarketing more than I hate SPAM.  A radio 
publication once offered to do an email BLAST for 
me.  After I got thru with my temper tantrum the idiot 
asked what was I so upset about...

Since there was a law firm involved, you might consider 
contacting the state attorney disciplinary board. 
Obviously, the law firm falsely stated to you that the bill 
would be written off when it wasn't, and they may have made 
some false representation to their client about the status 
of the bill. It might not result in severe sanctions 
against the law firm, but they might be willing to 
reimburse you just to make it go away.
