Kent:
Unless you need to model with accurate ground effects, EZNEC 4.0 may be just
fine. I've been using it for the past year and I've been happy with the
results for ground-independent antennas.
Otherwise, Roy's EZNEC Pro 4.0 works well as the interface to NEC 4.
Combined with the NEC 4 license, you're probably looking at close to $1,800,
maybe more for the extra level of accuracy and segmeting capabilities.

I purchased EZNEC 4.0 concurrent with L.B. Cebik's tutorial through the
ARRL. He offers a lot of good practice sessions to help ramp-up
proficiency with the program.
