[BC] Odd places for SW receivers

That's probably so you can tune in to the hams, stateside... but they're 
mostly using SSB, so an AM receiver won't be of much use. Something to make you 
say "Hmmmm..."

The other thing that *really* puzzles me, is why did they put SW bands into 
those big "ghetto blaster" style boom boxes of the 80's & early 90's? I have 
worked on a few, and I have one that I rescued from curbside. (It sounds great 
on FM & Cassette!) Why they'd put SW in there is a puzzler to me. Does anyone 
here know? :)
