Mainly, these guys know little about electronics, components or cables
unless they are commonly home stereo or PC related.  I don't know how many
of these salespeople have tried to convince me I needed useless and
expensive cables when ordinary and ugly cables would do!  I would give
anything for a return to the days of the REAL electronics shop where a bunch
of hams and TV repair techs always hung out.  Just like an auto parts store,
the clerk would disappear for a moment or two and some out with whatever
semiconductor/tube/relay etc. you wanted.  ]

In my hometown of Saginaw, Michigan it was on the corner of Court St. and
Michigan Avenue as I remember....

I went in there the other day to get an adapter for some cable. .i told the
guy exactly what I wanted and he STILL gave me the wrong thing!
