Collins mechanical filters are still used in several current amateur radio
transceivers, usually as optional upgrades from standard ceramic filters.
Most of the newest designs use DSP circuits at low IF frequencies instead.

Worked on many a Collins R-390. I really loved the R-390A. That box used
those wonderful mechanical filters for selectivity. I wonder if that
technology is still being used.
