That was one of the PLUS features of the Harris Boxes. I had a Gates
One and it had a tunable output. Nautel & BE didn't. Armstrong doesn't
either, but I bet they could build a custom on for a customer.

Hmmm... interesting... how the *bottom* of your short list is actually
the
*top* of mine! ;)
The old adage, "You get what you pay for" is absolutely true. In nearly
20
years in this biz, I have heard *nothing* negative about Nautel, and
everything
*positive*. I think you would do well to see if you can afford the
additional
cost. Believe me, it's worth it. The quality of the box, along with
their
*outstanding* customer service has put them squarely at the top of my
very
shor
t
list.
Back in 1996/7, it was down to Harris & Nautel for our new 5kw box. At
that
time, Nautel did not have a tunable output, Harris did. I do not regret
getting
the Harris Gates 5 for a minute, though. :) It's been a "cream puff".
The
only "major" work it has needed in all this time, was the replacement
of 4
larg
e
electrolytic caps in the PDM system. (Their failure mode: sloshing.)
Suffice it to say, if the time ever comes that I need a new box, it's
going
to be a Nautel. Over time, the additional up-front expense will work
itself
out
to be a bargain!

If you like your Harris so much, why would you want to go Nautel? I have
nothing against Nautel; they make a darned nice box and I would love to
take ca
re
of one.
Not sure what the difference in cost is between Harris and Nautel, but
it
must be more than a complete set of replacement PDM capacitors, or you
would ha
ve
one. Once you have something that's winning, why change?
