>Hey now...790 was my #1 preset in the rental car as I drove around! :-)

OMG! I thought Pete and myself were the only ones listening to that
station. It had a pretty good rotation, until you heard it for the
fourth time. I figured the automation was stuck and nobody was
listening to it. Wonder what the new format will be?

>I made it - but only because I'd had enough nightmare experiences at

That's why you leave on Tuesday. We were able to see what we needed to
Monday and Tuesday. Our flight back to Louisville was at 11pm Tuesday
night. Of course, our connection in Charlotte was botched and we wound
up waiting in the airport for two hours. Something told me not to trust
US Air, but Pete said they were alright. NEXT time it will be Southwest
or I don't go. They are the only airline with non-stop from Louisville
to Vegas. I thought the car rental situation was pretty neat. You
don't have to walk all over creation to get to your car. One shuttle
bus and everything is right in front of you. I think from now on, I'll
be staying at Sam's Town and driving in. We rode out there for a little
while to kill time before our flight. The hotel has an indoor atrium
similar to the Opryland Hotel. Walking through there I was able to
breath without the help of nose spray.

> Un-nerving #2...seeing Lake Mead down almost 100 ft. from normal.

Have you seen some of the plans for all that newly-vacant space on the
Strip where the old Stardust and Boardwalk and other recently-demolished

low-end properties sat? MGM-Mirage has a huge condo development starting

to go up north of the Monte Carlo, there's the enormous Trump
development behind the New Frontier, the giant Venetian expansion now
underway, etc. etc. etc.

Want to see something really un-nerving? Next year take a trip out to
Boulder Dam and look at Lake Meade. The water level is alarmingly low.
It makes you wonder how much growth the area can support.
