Wonder if there was a higher power version of these 
transmitters?  A few years ago I remember hearing W2ZM on 75 
meters talking about a broadcast transmitter he converted 
that used four 4-1000s in parallel and were screen grid 
modulated.  He had converted it to plate modulation but I 
don't remember what tubes he used as modulators.
