When we replaced a Continental 10 KW tube AM transmitter with a Nautel XL
12, the power bill went down about 55 percent. That included the fact that
we had to put some heating in the transmitter building to keep the building
warm in the winter.

Pretty impressive savings, especially when the power costs are 38 cents/KWH.

Hey Chuck how long did the old 316F bang away up there in Alaska??? That
was the first two-tube 5 and 10 kw. transmitter long before the MW-5 came
along.
