I guess we'd just have to live with it.  Foutunatly we get very few thunder 
storms in the Salem, Oregon area but a lot of rain, like right now for 
instance ;).  We have a saying here that if you can't see Mt. Hood it's 
raining, if you can see Mt. Hood then it's about to rain!
