EV used to conduct seminairs around the country hosted by Lou Borroughs co founder of EV.
I saw a presentation in Dallas at Wholesale Electronics. Lou used the 635A as his microphone and used the same one to drive nails into boards on the stage. He also hi-lighted using two 635A with a 180 degree out of phase "Y" cord with the mikes back to back for reduction of crowd noise at basketball and football games etc. He also showed many mikes and discussed their application from two way radio to quality audio from a noisy helicopter, TV boom mikes, stage microphones, PA reinforcement info. Very thorough presentation.

Anyone recall the year at NAB that EV was displaying the 635A as a hammer
for nails?
