IIRC, during my time at WBBM-AM/Chicago in the mid 70s - they
began doing traffic reports from the observation deck at
Sears Tower.  The link they had was studio-quality and they
wound up EQ'ing it to make it sound more "remote" to maintain
listener credibility.
