I've said this before, Jeff. You are most fortunate. My experience with
removing AOL from both my mother's computer and one at work were a
complete disaster. Can't recall all that was trashed, but dialup
networking was gone, and when the machine tried to boot up, it would
stop in the middle of the sequence and stall. Had to wipe the hard drive
and reload the OS. Was Win98SE back then. As you point out, YMMV.
