Hello:

here is what i'm looking for today.

I want to find a software application that is capable of running on any O/S 
from Win2000 to Win Xp (well, OK, Vista too)  that functions as an automated 
audio file format converter. 

I want to have one folder where I dump off my audio files, MP2, MP3 and other 
common formats. This software app monitors that folder for new files and when 
itfinds them, the program will suck them in, convert them to wav files and 
store that wave file in a different folder on the same computer.

It is very important that this program be able to do this without human 
intervention. It would be a good feature if this application would employ whatever 
virus program that's loaded on the machine, to check the "dropped  off" files 
for imbedded viruses. Most virus protection programs do this already but if 
not, I want my application as described, to do it.

I do not want any human intervention to be needed for this app to do its 
thing.

I have not extensively googled this because I'm not sure what something like 
this would even be called. There are lots of programs that can do file 
conversion, but they require operator intervention, at least the ones that I found.
