[BC] ABC GMA warbled audio

While I'm having coffee and reading e-mail, my wife is watching Good Morning
America on a local ABC affiliate.

The audio was warbling and gurgling enough to cause me to get up and go look
at the video.  The video looks normal.  The audio sounds like it is coming
through a cell phone.  I was once told that the local station delays the
program with hard disk storage, otherwise I would suspect a VTR with an
eccentric capstan.

What's with that?  Anybody know?  Just curious.
