Hello Larry No I am not a member YET..
I have the application to join. personally I think something thats done
over 30 years ago
should have nothing to do with my membership. and feel the question
helps them Become discrimintory, and not allow you to Become a member.
the question should not be allowed on their application. if the
question is there it should have a date limit like the FCC LPFM
application.which has a Date limit see question#8 below
as an application for a Federal license. I can understand it.
For a private organizaion I think its none of their Business..
I guess my reply to them would be an Old IBEW trick.. answeer the
question with another question.
The question would be. have you Ever spoken On a hand held cell phone
while driving a vehicle. and how often do you do 30mph in a 25 mph zone..
Everyone is guilty in either of thoses...
In My case.. I was involved in the school radio station and used to Tape
my shows..
One of my so called Neighborhood friends from a few blocks away whom I
used to hang out with. grabbed some of Tapes.and decided to use his
dads ham transmitter to play them.
He got a visit... His father said I know that voice. then came to me..
apparently taped our conversation and ran a voiceprint...
I did a stupid thing I taped My shows.. NEVER again...
I had nothing to do with what he was doing yet. I was find because my
Voice was on his pirate station. something to think about
guys....anyone can tape a radio show play it on a pirate station
you are Legally liable to be Fined If they match your voice..
I consider myself lucky with Only a $250 fine.. But try to explain that
on an application..
OMG did I really violate the communications act of 1934????
I dont think so.
