I've been on the other end of that exercise. We could not mention that we 
had NO job openings, but were passing out literature right and left at a 
job fair to satisfy EEO. I made certain that everyone who applied for an 
engineering position received a letter or call - or both - that we did not 
have a spot presently in engineering. However, I invited them to visit on 
an informal basis if they wished because I wanted to meet them. That is why 
I am annoyed with my experiences of recent months - many greater and lesser 
rudenesses.
