[BC] Scientific Atlanta dish extenders

Craig,

I never installed that kit myself, but I had several dishes that 
operated fine (and still are) without it.

Two engineers told me they didn't think it made any positive difference 
because of the innacuracy of the metal curve by the time all was 
installed and tightened down.

Is your experience any better?
