[BC] Memphis station and shots fired

I worked in that building - as a contract engineer - for about 5 years.

The format was Easy Listening then (WEZI-FM, Germantown, TN).  And the 
co-located AM (1430 kHz, various call letters) was all-Elvis for a while.

Sam Phillips (of Elvis, Sun Records and Phillips Recording Service fame) 
had that building at 6080 Mt. Moriah in Memphis built in the mid-1970's. 
  His front office had a winding staircase to a "lounge" upstairs.

The "sales office" is a barn-like structure that Dr. Flynn, the current 
owner, built adjacent to the studio building.

We didn't have much shooting when it was Easy Listening.  However, when 
the format was "updated" to Soft AC, we got threats from little old ladies.
