  One of the reasons I took WRR off a bulk ASCAP/BMI and went to their "per-program" logging. Yes, a lot of paper at the end of the month but the fees we're WAY lower. I told the G.M. we shouldn't be paying to play music for dead composers. So we only paid for the 20th century composers who still had active copyrights. With this change we had a huge credit balance (retroactive because of their delays). IIRC we didn't have to pay BMI for something like 3 years!
