I'm a remote announcer for WorldSpace. (it's an XM service for parts of
Europe/Middle East/Africa/Asia with 2 satellites and 6 spot beams) Remote
meaning I do the voice tracks from my home and FTP them to the server in
Maryland then the whole package is sent to 2 uplinks "over there" somewhere.
I believe one in England and one in Johannesburg. I've heard we don't carry
any debt load as opposed to XM & Sirius. We have the potential for many more
listeners. So I suppose the question here is: How deep are the pockets?
Subscriptions are on the rise. We're experiencing that as well. Guess we'll
have to wait and see. The next 2 or 3 years should be very interesting for
birds and towers.
