[BC] XM audio levels and quality

I know XM cant get their levels correct. many times when they start a song,
it blasts along with a few artifacts and within a second or two the level is
where it's supposed to be. I assume the processor is also an auto leveler.
But my feeling is why does the processor have to work so hard? Cant the
studio engineers set the levels so to not blast the processor? Most of the
time the thing is an automated juke box, but even with live assist, the
problem is there. I hear this on the 60's channel all the time. But I sure
like their Fridays when they recreate a top 40 from the era.
