I agree that 5% is but 1/2 a db, but I'd rather use it to have someone say,
eliminate a composite clipper that they're using 1/2 db of clipping with....
Of course, they'd likely just keep the clipper and turn stuff up too.

That would not buy much loudness. OTOH, replacing 75 us. with 50 us. buys
quite
a lot of loudness - if loudness is what you really want.
