I don't think I would go that far, but that's not the point either. 
Satellite radio was never (at least not that I saw or heard) touted as
having "CD quality," whereas
IBOC/IBUZ/HD/whatever-we're-calling-it-this-week was and is.

Of course that brings forward the issue of engineers not being involved
in the HD rollout...because if they had been from the beginning, no
engineer that I know would have let iBiquity get away with claiming CD
quality where it didn't exist.
