I remember the "Move" situation. It was bad stuff all around. I'm
still not sure burning down a neighborhood to force people out of a
building is the best approach. I doubt the Mayor would do the same today.
My "protesters" were actors. I wouldn't hire people who actually had
an agenda. It would be like the San Diego group I was involved with
against religious fanatics at a prenatal clinic (the "Pastor" is in
jail for firebombing a clinic). We formed a group called "Ladies
Against Women." Men and women dressed as frumpy old ladies preaching
from cookbooks. Our purpose was to divert TV attention away from the
wackos. Like most "moral" protesters they left the scene as soon as
the cameras were gone. We were much funnier than religious wackos and
we got the coverage. The wackos got coverage for hitting us with
signs. You know, peaceful godfearing protesters.
