What, some kind of allergy medication?
Many moons ago when I was working for Schafer Electronics: We were
getting ready to show a new product, the 800T Brain, at NAB. There
was a last minute panic to get it out the door. The panels had been
sent to the silk screeners and they arrived at the last possible
minute. The wiring had been done as much ahead as possible so that
hopefully we'd only have to mount stuff to the panels and do a
minimum amount of wiring. Somehow the panels didn't look
right. None of us could put our finger on the exact problem but
something was wrong. We worked all night. Early the following
morning the American Van Lines "Electronic Transportation" truck
showed up for it's load. We gave one last look over and said, "Ship
it". We helped load the equipment - a complete automation system
with every bell and whistle Schafer had. This stuff was not crated
but simple wrapped in blankets once it was on the truck. While being
on the bottom end of the "Brain" being wheeled up the ramp it hit me
right between the eyes. Instead of being labeled "Audio Distribution
Panel" it was labeled, "Audio Distortion Panel". Do you remember
those Dymo Labelers with the really wide Dymo tape?
