Sat dishes vs snow (was "Re: [BC] KFI Tower replacement ?")

I kinda think the cover is the way to go.  After that, I still like the 
Gel-Coat (or whatever the name) used to keep fibreglas boat hulls really 
slick, though heavy wet snow would still have to be swept out.  Used to have 
to sweep off the airplane wings in Rochester.  If the surface is clean, 
smooth, waxed... you can shove enough snow so you find yourself consider 
what the weight is doing to the structure beneath it... (especially on an 
old ragwing...)
