Yes, and I've been there/done that. Who wants to be standing out in the 
30-ish degree weather, with snow/sleet/rain falling, holding a garden hose, with 
water running down one's arm, every hour?

Not exactly my idea of a fun afternoon outing.

The broom works, but barely. That's why I want to know what kind of product I 
can use to treat that cover, to make it more "non-stick". I am beginning to 
get the impresion that there aren't many options.
