[BC] KFI...as it stands today....

About a month ago, I checked with Tom Cox, CC's RVP-Engineering for
the area regarding KFI. KFI is broadcasting on it's aux tower, pushing
out about 25kw. No IBOC, only analog. The aux tower is on the same
site as the tower that fell, just a different part of the site. It was
not damaged when the main tower fell.
As stated earlier, obtaining the proper permits is and will continue
to be an issue. The option of moving the KFI signal has been
investigated (and will continue to be investigated as options are
presented to CC), but at this point in time the transmitter site will
remain as licensed. Any movement could cause the opening of a Pandora's
box of issues due to KFI's current international and domestic
classifications.
