Just a note to everyone interested, there are a couple of sources that you
might want to read. One is certainly the new article out by our friend
Donna Halper in the latest annual of the AWA (Antique Wireless Assoc).
Another would be the Thomas White site but within the site you also need to
look at the book (contained within the site) of the History of
Communications in the US Navy.
It will all contain seminal information. Another is the writings of
Elizabeth McLeod of Canada, and of her writings you can find them on a
number of web sites.
Harold, I will be happy to give you the book which is quite large in storage
space if you are willing to post it on your great web site where I have
posted a lot of information in the past.
Dave Hultsman, I will be happy to share some information with you and GE on
their early work, but again, that information is much harder to acquire than
any that I have come across before, much harder than even Western Electric.
There is little printed information that I have been able to find or other
data, but there is some out there. Just remember that GE and Westinghouse
have always been the prime contractors to RCA for all of their transmission
equipment up even until the end. They all continued a close business
relationship even though the RCA was busted up by the Feds many decades
before.
Happy New Year to All and may God Bless Us All.
May the world find a little more peace this coming year, may my fibromyalgia
and arthritis and grumpiness find some greater relief.
And in spite of all us old guys, may all of us including our friends Rich
and Robert (grin) find a little less to be cynical about.

P.S. God, please make IBOC work good.
