[BC] RCA History earliest transmitter

Didn't Townsend build a TV transmitter ?  I think they may have picked up 
the Ampex
venture into transmitters ?  Seems to me I saw one in Milwaukee back in the 
1980's.
NEC TV transmitter was (and may still be used) by WBBM-TV in Chicago. I 
believe it
was the only one sold in the United States.
