Rich, you can make a very useful tuned loop antenna with minimal effort and 
expense. (About $20, tops, if you have to buy everything.) You may be surprised 
at the performance increase one of these loops gives you.

I have tried them many times. Even with a $5 "flavoradio" (single IF-stage, 
deaf as can be) portable, these antennas bring stations to life that even a 
*good* radio struggled to hear. Next to a decent radio, these loops pull in 
signals you never knew were there. They *should* be able to pull in IBUZ signals, 
too. Their directionality can certainly be used to advantage, to null or peak 
as needed.
