So eliminate the monotony of it all.  I had to train talk show hosts for 
this.  If the ID spot happens between innings:

"Up next, the top of the fifth inning.  We'll pause for a moment for 
local affiliate identification.  You're listening to the Minnesota Twins 
Radio Network."

Key points:

No word "break"

No reference to time/"ten seconds"

And a brief reminder of what's on your radio!

If no natural pause, then delete the first sentence.
