Frank, is it stated at what speed, tape formulation, recorder, etc., the original recordings were made?

My brother has a vinyl set of Beatles LPs remastered near the very end of the vinyl age. I recall copying them to Beta HiFi back in the day (Will you still need me, will you still feed me??), and seeing photos of the original tape box labels.

As the liner notes claim, it helps that the original
recordings captured the performances top-notch. Those were engineered by
Geoff Emerick, Glyn Johns, and a few others at Abbey Road.
