Copy2PC was an option board that resided in an open slot
in the PC. You connected the cable that interfaced between
the floppy drive and the controller into the Copy2PC board
and then installed a jumper cable from the Copy2PC board
into the floppy drive. Essentially the Copy2PC board disallowed
commands to the drive controller that called for non-standard
tracks to be recorded on 'copy protected' discs.
I used a form of copy protection on the RF engineering
software I sell and it was able to be bypassed by the
Copy2PC board.
