Thanks for the information. The frustration here is that the output of the ENCO workstations, eight of them when all is implemented, has been set up via RS232 to feed the analog RBDS encoders in addition to the HD1 and HD2 PAD. The Dexstar manual specifically states that RS232 input of this data is implemented.

Danny Ray Boyer suggested the Lantronix UDS-10 RS232 to TCP/IP converter as a solution. We do have TCP/IP cards in the Intraplex units, but still need serial for the RBDS. I suppose converts from TCP/IP to RS232 could be used, but how would such a converter differentiate what to convert.

The Dexstar should be connected to your LAN via TCP/IP so that it can see
the Enco server ...

... their LAN cards to extend that to your tx site. That way you can
forget about the serial connection and be done with it.
