[BC] Harris Dexstar RS232 PAD data input

We are attempting to feed a Harris Dexstar with HD1 PAD data via the RS232 COM port. No-go.
The manual says RS232 is supposed to be automatically recognized. Gary Leibisch of Harris says it has to be via TCP/IP.
We have an RS232 serial stream from the ENCO fed to the site via Intraplex.

Experience of the brain trust??
