That falls under slave labor in my book. He should be getting paid if he's
editing in audition and loading things into prophet. There is no reason in
the world why anybody should be working for FREE in any industry. I'm not
counting internships in this discussion because with those the participants
in those end up with college credits which they would otherwise be paying
for.
One would think you could instill a better sense of worth and self-respect
by insisting that he get get an entry level job that pays him even minimum
wage, rather then convince him that he should have to give his time away for
free. Honestly I have no idea why anybody his age would even still be
considering this industry, considering how the jobs that actually pay decent
money in this field are so few and far between- though admittedly I was just
as young and stupid at his age though :)
