I went to ET school at Treasure Island, San Francisco. Nearly all the
way through the Radar Phase, I had to go in for an operation on my tale
bone - it was a cyst. (no funny comments - I straight - usually :-) )
When I got done with that - 4 months later, I went back and they put me
in the Communications Phase, so I had both. I was an ET(N) who had ET(R)
training. Perhaps that's why I was one of the few 3rd class ETs who drew
Pro Pay. Remember that? I recall fixing many FTs radar when they had
trouble. Part of this is because I was also a college grad with an ET
(Electronics Technology) degree. I spent 3 years at Stanford (couldn't
afford the last year) and graduated from San Fernando Valley State
College (now Cal State Northridge). Like many in this business, I've not
made a great deal of money, but I sure do love what I do and have done.
