    I remember, back around 1967, when a friend graduated from 
Auburn University's EE program.  I was driving him back home to 
northwestern Florida, and we got into a techy conversation.  

    He absolutely believed that: 
[1] "Every vacuum tube in the world has 250 Volts on it's anode", 
              and 
[2] "There is no such thing as an AC-DC power supply".  

    No matter how much I argued (I was already chief engineer 
of WJHO, Opelika, AL, where I had a Collins 20V-2) he remained 
convinced that his beliefs were true.  That there's college 
larning' fer ya.
