room  With "allegedly" in front of it, it ceases to be a fact. 
"Alleged mob boss Al Capone dies in prison of a nasty disease" is 
fact - the disease part. We're not willing to declare him to be a mob 
boss. Remember that John Gotti claimed to be a zipper salesman.

In the time of Christ news departments could have been sued for 
reporting that He died.
